[Ellie can sort of get it. Her only friend had been Riley, and even then it was relatively brief--she was thirteen when she met her and fourteen when she lost her. Riley hadn't understood how her up and leaving hurt Ellie and she forgave her, so she supposes she can do the same for Skye.

Sure. About two months ago? Ish. Around when I was pestering him about coming to Jesse's birthday party.

Well... he's the best teacher there is. You're in good hands. Joel's sort of a badass.

I don't know, Agent May could give her a run for his money.

But he is pretty badass, yeah. Silent and grumpy, but badass. I'm used to that.
