[Ellie shuts off her tablet before gearing up and heading out. She's used to dressing for the cold, and doesn't mind the slight chill she can still feel through her layers as she makes her way to the meeting place. The paranoid, untrusting part of her brain tells her this could be some sort of trap, but this is her trying to be more like a normal person.

If he tried anything, she'd kick his ass.

So, she waits with her hands in her pockets and face bundled up in a scarf and toque. She could get used to people getting her presents.]

[If it were a trap, he wouldn't have asked her to meet him in such a public place.

Because of the cold, he doesn't go in his normal form. Instead, he's in a human body, a korean man well over six feet in a heavy, dark blue winter jacket the same color as his cloak. He waves when he sees Ellie, heading straight for her.

His accent and language are the same when he speaks, though.]

[Ellie looks caught off guard. Because she totally is. This is not the dragon-dude she was expecting. This is just a big Asian guy.]

Yes. I'm not ashamed of what I am, though, and I don't see why I should be. Humans have always looked down on me, or feared me simply because of my appearance. That's their problem, not mine.

[She's more comfortable talking to what looks to be a normal man, but she thinks she gets it.]

[Kang pulls an item wrapped in a piece of leather out of his jacket, holding it out for her to take.]

[Ellie takes it, hesitantly. Almost the moment she has it in her hands she has an idea of what it could be, and opens it to find herself correct: a knife! A very cool looking dagger. It looks like something Cesare would own.]

Whoa! What--seriously? You got this for me?

Most humans on this planet don't know the value of a good blade. I think you do, though.

[It's a very well-made blade, not one of those cheap ones usually found at a Renaissance festival. If she takes care of it, it'll last her a lifetime.]

Holy shit. I really do. [As much as she's a good shot with both guns and bows, her switchblade has gotten her out of way more unpleasant situations. She can tell this one is made to be durable.]
